WALT solid oak chest of drawers – four drawers, glass shelves and black steel
The WALT solid oak chest of drawers with glass shelves combines concealed storage with open display space in one balanced piece of furniture. Its solid oak body is paired with matt black steel and glass shelving at the sides, giving the cabinet a lighter visual feel than a fully enclosed chest. Four drawers keep everyday items organised and out of sight, while the open shelves can hold books, ceramics, glassware or decorative pieces you want to keep visible. This layout is useful when one piece of furniture needs to handle storage without turning the entire front and sides into a closed block. If you are comparing different storage layouts, browse the wider range of oak chests of drawers and dressers; more restrained forms can also be found among the classic chests of drawers.
Four soft-close drawers, solid oak and ready-assembled delivery
The practical strength of WALT is its split between drawers and open shelving. It is an oak chest of drawers with soft-close drawers, so the four storage sections close smoothly during everyday use, while the glass shelves add accessible display space without adding more solid fronts. Natural oak remains the main material, with black steel creating a clear contrast and the glass keeping the sides visually open. This solid wood chest of drawers works well in a living room, bedroom, dining room or spacious hallway where storage and display need to share the same footprint. It is delivered ready assembled, so it can be positioned and used after delivery without furniture assembly. A choice of wood colours is available, making it easier to coordinate WALT with flooring, a dining table, display cabinet or other oak furniture in the room.
Choose WALT for the room, or request an individual adjustment
An oak chest of drawers with 4 drawers is most useful when smaller belongings need their own compartments, but WALT adds something a conventional drawer-only cabinet does not: visible shelving for objects that form part of the interior. If you would prefer more open storage and less drawer space, compare the WALT chest of drawers with shelves. If the standard arrangement is close to what you need but does not fit the intended space, use customise your chest of drawers to describe the requested change; feasibility should be confirmed for the specific construction. Other pieces using the same material language are grouped in the WALT collection, while the RaWood portfolio helps you judge scale, proportions and oak finishes in completed interiors. This makes it easier to choose WALT for its actual storage role as well as for the way it works with the rest of the room.

WALT
In WALT, the warm grain of solid oak is combined with metal elements, creating furniture with a strong contemporary form while retaining everyday functionality. The same design direction can be continued across several areas of the interior by choosing other models from the WALT Collection.
Advantages and care of lacquered furniture
Wooden furniture protected with lacquer is extremely easy to care for. Dust, dirt and other contaminants can be removed with soft, dry cloth, e.g. from microfiber. When using special product for cleaning lacquered wood, you should first apply it to cloth and later on wood. Cleaning removes the protective layer that is on the furniture. Therefore, after cleaning the furniture, it is necessary to secure it. Wooden furniture doesn't like water, so you shouldn't wash it with water and liquid. Remember that there are different wood finishes (e.g. gloss, matt) and there is a different care product for each. Glossy furniture over time can slightly matte. Therefore, for preservation, use a suitable and intended for this product, which will give beautiful shine. Good maintenance product will mask scratches created on the lacquered surface during use (to remove deep scratches, furniture should be renovated).
Advantages and care of oiled furniture
Care of oiled furniture isn't particularly difficult, but it requires the application of several rules and, above all, regularity. Oiled wood is cleaned every day with dry or gently moistened, soft cloth, according to the arrangement of the grains. Don't wash oiled furniture with strong detergents! Oiled wooden furniture is always cleaned only with mild agents designed specifically for them. Good way to preserve the beauty of oiled furniture is to clean it every 2 months with cloth soaked in the same oil with which it was oiled. Depending on some time, it is also worth carrying out another oiling procedure. Especially solid wood table tops finished with oil need to be covered with oil again from time to time. Wood absorbs oil gradually, so oiling should be done systematically, several times a year. This will make them look like new.
