Oak Office Desk VITA – Solid Oak, Steel and Practical Storage
The oak office desk VITA combines a solid oak worktop with slim matt-black steel legs and an integrated oak pedestal with two drawers. The worktop has a Swiss-edge profile on three sides, which gives the solid oak a lighter visual appearance while keeping the natural grain clearly visible. Two TIP-ON drawers provide practical storage for documents and everyday work accessories without visible handles. Their black glass fronts create a strong contrast with the oak and give the desk a more refined, contemporary character. VITA works well in a private study, professional office or home workspace where the desk is expected to be both functional and visually distinctive. To compare other constructions, browse our oak desks and designer desks.
Two TIP-ON Drawers and a Configuration That Fits the Workspace
The oak pedestal can be positioned on the left or right, helping the desk fit more naturally around windows, walls, shelving and other office furniture. Different oak finishes are also available, so the colour of the worktop can be coordinated with flooring and existing furniture. The leather insert in the worktop is optional and can be selected or omitted depending on the preferred version. The two TIP-ON drawers with black glass fronts remain a defining part of the construction, while the black steel legs keep the overall form visually light. This combination allows VITA to offer useful storage without looking like a conventional office desk. The furniture is supplied ready assembled. A Designer Oak Desk for Office and Home Working
VITA is designed for workspaces where the desk should support everyday use and remain an important part of the interior. Solid oak adds warmth, while black steel and glass give the furniture a more defined modern character. The selectable pedestal side makes the layout easier to adapt to a specific room, while the available oak finishes help coordinate the desk with other furniture. If the standard version does not suit the workspace, use the desk customisation service to discuss possible changes for this construction. Advantages and care of lacquered furniture
Wooden furniture protected with lacquer is extremely easy to care for. Dust, dirt and other contaminants can be removed with soft, dry cloth, e.g. from microfiber. When using special product for cleaning lacquered wood, you should first apply it to cloth and later on wood. Cleaning removes the protective layer that is on the furniture. Therefore, after cleaning the furniture, it is necessary to secure it. Wooden furniture doesn't like water, so you shouldn't wash it with water and liquid. Remember that there are different wood finishes (e.g. gloss, matt) and there is a different care product for each. Glossy furniture over time can slightly matte. Therefore, for preservation, use a suitable and intended for this product, which will give beautiful shine. Good maintenance product will mask scratches created on the lacquered surface during use (to remove deep scratches, furniture should be renovated).
Advantages and care of oiled furniture
Care of oiled furniture isn't particularly difficult, but it requires the application of several rules and, above all, regularity. Oiled wood is cleaned every day with dry or gently moistened, soft cloth, according to the arrangement of the grains. Don't wash oiled furniture with strong detergents! Oiled wooden furniture is always cleaned only with mild agents designed specifically for them. Good way to preserve the beauty of oiled furniture is to clean it every 2 months with cloth soaked in the same oil with which it was oiled. Depending on some time, it is also worth carrying out another oiling procedure. Especially solid wood table tops finished with oil need to be covered with oil again from time to time. Wood absorbs oil gradually, so oiling should be done systematically, several times a year. This will make them look like new.
