Instructions for maintenance care and assembly of tables of solid wood and steel

Instructions for table extensions

  • Slide out the two metal profiles (NR 1) located under the countertop on the given side to a length of about 40 cm
  • Place on the profiles (NR 1) the correct extension (NR 2) following the markings and continuity of the rings
  • Align the extension to the table top
  • Align the profiles to the crossbar in the extension
  • Secure the extension with a screw through the base profile (NR 3)
  • Align the extension with the table top using screw  (NR 4)

Informations about rules of furniture storage:

Wood is natural raw material that expands and shrinks under the outflow of humidity and temperature, which is called ‘wood work’. Furniture must be used indoors and protected from harmful weather influences. Optimal conditions in room are humidity in range of 50-70% and temperatures between 15 and 30°C. Changes in humidity and high temperature changes can lead to changes in shape of wooden elements. Too dry air can lead to deformation of solid wooden parts. If the humidity is too low or high, there is risk that wood will break. It is recommended to use additional moisture in room in winter, when the humidity drops significantly.

Instruction for maintenance and use of wooden furniture – basic rules:

    • Should follow the rules for use of wooden surfaces.
    • Furniture should be cleaned systematically – do not allow furniture to be too dirty.
    • Always use measures that are intended for contact with wood: separately for cleaning, separately for care.
    • Do not use for tearing off dust: sharp sponges, scrapers, preparations with pellet, which could scratch the furniture surface.
    • Do not use diluents, corrosive measures, stain removers or other means that may adversely affect lacquered surface.
    • Any dirt or wet stains should be removed immediately with dry cloth or special preparations for lacquered wood.
    • You can not directly put preparation on furniture. Detergents and preservatives must not be left on furniture surface without distributing or rubbing it. First should soak microfiber or flannel cloth with preparation, and then clean furniture.
    • Wooden furniture should always be rubbed in direction of wooden rings.
    • Keep a minimum 1m distance from heat sources, for example: fireplaces, heaters, stoves and stoves.
    • Do not put hot, damp and very cold things directly on tabletop. Should use place blankets, even for writing.
    • Rooms hould be ventilate and should avoid that tabletops are left in damp rooms.
    • Protect furniture from water – wipe spilled water immediately dry. Avoid contact of furniture with wet surfaces: wet floors, carpets, shower cabin walls, since wood can absorb water.

Instruction for maintenance and using steel elements:

  • Do not place the rack where external factors work, such as: fire, water, salts, acids, organic solvents containing esters, alcohols, flavors, glycolic esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons. Also other aggressive chemicals, such as: cement, lime, abrasives or detergents that cause material loss or scratches.
  • Do not place the rack in wet, damp, water-prone place, as this can lead to corrosion of elements.
  • Do not use scouring powder for cleaning, because thay can leave scratches on surface.
  • Cleaning tools – wet fabric or chamesmic leather are usually enough to remove ordinary dirt. For more resistant dirt, nylon sponges are usually suitable. For powder-painted steel do not use the steel scrubbing, cleaning wool or wire brushes.
  • Maintenance of powder-painted steel: surface must be washed regularly with clean water with little addition of kitchen detergents.
