Wooden furniture doesn't like water, so you shouldn't wash it with water and liquid. Remember that there are different wood finishes (e.g. gloss, matt) and there is a different care product for each. Good maintenance product will mask scratches created on the lacquered surface during use (to remove deep scratches, furniture should be renovated).
