Oak hallway bench for a practical entrance area
Oak hallway bench MOVA is a simple, practical seat made from natural oak for everyday use near the entrance to the home. It gives you a comfortable place to sit while putting on or taking off shoes without introducing a bulky piece of furniture into the hallway. The restrained form works naturally with modern interiors and can be paired with a coat rack, console table or wardrobe, while the visible oak brings warmth and a clear natural character to the space. The bench has a durable, stable construction and is delivered ready assembled, so no additional installation is required. If you are comparing different formats, browse the range of solid wood benches for hallways and home interiors or explore the wider oak seating furniture category.
A wooden bench for hallways, wardrobes and bedrooms
MOVA is primarily designed as hallway seating, but its straightforward construction makes it useful in other parts of the home as well. In a wardrobe or dressing area it provides a convenient seat when changing shoes or clothes; in a bedroom it can stand beside storage furniture or against a free wall; and in a living room it can serve as an additional seat without visually dominating the arrangement. This versatility comes from the simplicity of the design rather than from added functions, making the bench easy to coordinate with different furniture layouts. If you are planning the entire entrance area rather than choosing one piece in isolation, the guide to choosing furniture for a hallway can help you consider the bench together with storage and other practical elements.
Customise the oak bench to suit your interior
The MOVA oak hallway bench is available in different wood colours, allowing the finish to be coordinated with flooring, wardrobes and other furniture already present in the room. When the standard configuration does not suit the available space, the dedicated custom oak bench made to measure page provides the right route for an individual enquiry. You can describe the changes you need and include a sketch, a photograph of the space and approximate dimensions as a starting point. The requested modifications can then be assessed before the individual configuration is confirmed, so the bench retains the simple character of MOVA while fitting the intended location and everyday use more closely.

Advantages and care of lacquered furniture
Wooden furniture protected with lacquer is extremely easy to care for. Dust, dirt and other contaminants can be removed with soft, dry cloth, e.g. from microfiber. When using special product for cleaning lacquered wood, you should first apply it to cloth and later on wood. Cleaning removes the protective layer that is on the furniture. Therefore, after cleaning the furniture, it is necessary to secure it. Wooden furniture doesn't like water, so you shouldn't wash it with water and liquid. Remember that there are different wood finishes (e.g. gloss, matt) and there is a different care product for each. Glossy furniture over time can slightly matte. Therefore, for preservation, use a suitable and intended for this product, which will give beautiful shine. Good maintenance product will mask scratches created on the lacquered surface during use (to remove deep scratches, furniture should be renovated).
Advantages and care of oiled furniture
Care of oiled furniture isn't particularly difficult, but it requires the application of several rules and, above all, regularity. Oiled wood is cleaned every day with dry or gently moistened, soft cloth, according to the arrangement of the grains. Don't wash oiled furniture with strong detergents! Oiled wooden furniture is always cleaned only with mild agents designed specifically for them. Good way to preserve the beauty of oiled furniture is to clean it every 2 months with cloth soaked in the same oil with which it was oiled. Depending on some time, it is also worth carrying out another oiling procedure. Especially solid wood table tops finished with oil need to be covered with oil again from time to time. Wood absorbs oil gradually, so oiling should be done systematically, several times a year. This will make them look like new.
